Accessibility Info

Venue:

  • The front doors are automatic, and a ramp leads down into the gym space. The ramp is quite long, but the slope is gentle.

  • There is an additional entrance directly from the gym at ground level behind the building. The doors are not automatic and there is a lip, but they will be left open during the event if weather permits

  • There is one accessible washroom downstairs and two additional washrooms upstairs.

Masking:

  • Masking is required for all vendors and attendees except in the case of medical exemption

  • A limited supply of masks will be available in collaboration with masks4vic

Please help us keep our community safe and mask up!

Scents:

  • We ask that everyone is mindful of those among us who are scent sensitive. Please keep all scented product usage to a minimum.

  • Please note that the event as a whole is not scent-free, as some vendors have scented products for sale. These vendors will be grouped in an effort to help those with scent sensitivities avoid them.

Sound:

  • No music will be playing during the event

  • A PA system will be used for announcements during certain points at the start and end of the event

  • The event is indoors in a large open space, so we do expect sound levels to be elevated

Parking:

  • There is street parking along Gladstone between Chambers and Fernwood Square, though some sections of the street are reserved for residential parking

  • There is a lot beside the volleyball/soccer fields across the street as well that is open to the public on weekends

  • There is street parking available on Pembroke behind the park adjacent to the community center but construction in the vicinity may limit availability

Transit:

  • 22/22A stops along Fernwood Ave at Gladstone (Northbound) and Vining (Southbound) are a 250-300m (est. 4-6 minute journey)

  • 24/25 stops along Cook at Caledonia (Northbound) and Princess (Southbound) are 450-600m (est. 6-10 minute journey)
